Announcement: Tidal Care Inc. Enters Research Collaboration with University of Guelph

July 11, 2023

Tidal Care Inc. is excited to announce a research and product-development partnership with the University of Guelph. Dr. Max Jones and Dr. Gale Bozzo, professors in the Ontario Agricultural College’s Department of Plant Agriculture, have obtained a Health Canada dealer’s licence that allows them and their teams to cultivate mushrooms that are known to produce psilocybin and other compounds. Tidal will be working in conjunction with Drs. Jones and Bozzo to engage in vital early-phase mushroom research, validation, optimization, and analysis that will be of significant benefit to Tidal and the psychedelics industry as a whole.

Tidal and the University have committed to pursuing additional grant-funding available through numerous government and private entities to subsidize the cost and optimize the outcomes of this collaborative research endeavour. This will empower Tidal, Dr. Jones, Dr. Bozzo, and other potential collaborators to pursue novel and potentially remunerative research pathways that emerge over the course of this partnership.

With the signing of this research agreement, Tidal takes its first tangible step into the world of psychedelic mushroom product development. With the ultimate goal of supplying safe, validated, high-compliance psychedelic products and treatments, this partnership constitutes our biggest step to-date towards our effort to turn the tide in search for mental health and personal wellness.
